Economics of Climate Change Adaptation

AIT Conference Center, Pathumthani, Thailand
8/21/2017 - 9/1/2017

The capacity building Programme on the Economics of Climate Change Adaptation (ECCA) in Asia is a cooperative effort, launched in 2012, between United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) ADAPT Asia-Pacific Project, the Asian Development Bank, the Global Water Partnership and Yale University.
Objectives

The objective of the ECCA programme is to strengthen the capacity of technical officers in Ministries of Planning/Finance, as well as line Ministries (Environment, Agriculture, Water, Public Works, and others) to assess the economic costs and benefits when evaluating different alternatives and to prepare high-quality economic analyses related to climate change adaptation projects and programmes.

Ultimately, the programme seeks to mainstream these important analytical skills into ministries and departments, enabling countries to formulate economically efficient and climate resilient development plans.  More details:...
